Carter's 1st Trip To Lagoon

On Sunday, we finally activated our season passes to Lagoon, and took Peanut on quite the adventure. I didn't know how he would handle it or what he would think, but I must say, HE. LOVED. EVERY. PART. OF. IT.

We went with Kris and Rand's family and started off at the Rattlesnake Rapids. We were all worried about Kristie's purse getting soaked since she had the phones in it, and by luck, I am the one that got competely DRENCHED! Carter thought it was so funny and was laughing the whole time.

Once we were done with the Rapids, we headed over to kiddie land, and that is where we spent the majority of the day.

We were able to take Carter on all of the kiddie rides and he was amazing. Anything from the planes and boats, to the jumping dragon, to the egg drop, he just loved. Every time one ride would finish he would just say, "again, again." The only ride he did not like was the Ride of Terror.

Dustin and I snuck a way to ride "Wicked" one time and that was awesome. We are hoping to go back next week, minus the little, so we can have a date and do all the big kid rollercoasters.

We rode the train, ate a funnel cake, and again enjoyed one another's company. We had so much fun out there, I truly beleive it was the most fun Our Lil Adams Family has had in a long time, and we cannont WAIT to do it again!

Seven Peaks

This summer we bought passes to Seven Peaks. It was part of the Passes of All Passes, and since Carter was free, Dustin and I bought a couple for us. We didn't know how much we would be leaving Salt Lake this summer due to gas prices and our budget, so we decided we might as well get a few things we can do that will make it feel like summer.

Last week Carter and I went with Kristie and her kiddoes. We spent a few hours there and Carter was in heaven. He so loves being outside and in the water.

I must confess I loved it too. He was entertained, I had adult company, and we got to enjoy the sunshine.

On Saturday we all went again and this time Dustin was able to join us. It was a great family adventure and I think we will be thrilled with our pass this summer.

The Water Ball

Last week Coli, Lou, and Carter were going through cousin withdrawals. The three of them are truly best friends, and LOVE to be together.

Carter had asked me if he we could play with "Colin Man and Baby sister" that day. I had no big plans, it was hot and I thought it sounded good. So, while Stac got her kiddoes ready Peanut and I ran to Wal-Mart and bought a Water Ball. Oh boy...What fun it turned out to be!!!

The kids spent a couple hours running in and out of the Water Ball. They loved it. Stac and I had the opportunity to just sit back, snap pictures and enjoy the BEAUTIFUL weather.

After an hour and a half or so, we called the kiddoes in for some popsicles. They enjoyed the break and sat and played. As soon as tehy were done though, they were back on the lawn.

I so loved having the Cousin's over for for an afternoon in the sun and water. We cannot WAIT to do it again.

RENT

Several years ago I was in New York and saw the sign for a play called, "RENT." I was young and not very worldly and really had no idea what kind of play it would be. So, I opted for Beauty and The Beast and Phantom Of The Opera. They were both incredible and I loved that I had seen both of them on Broadway.

I came home and a few years later, I saw there was a movie called, "RENT." It was based on the play and I was anxious to watch. So, I rented it, watched it, LOVED it, watched it, and eventually bought it.

Ever since I have had this HUGE desire to see "RENT" live. I have wanted to see the characters act and get the whole scoop. Last September, at "The Lion King" in the pamphlet I saw "RENT" was coming to Pioneer Theatre. While we were there I told my mom this was the next MUST see play. Well, most the time I forget, but this one was important enough I continued to pay attention to dates and times.

On Monday my mom and I were talking and agreed to go.

IT. WAS. INCREDIBLE.

The scenery was perfect.

The crowd was so fun.

The seats couldn't have been better.

And I was in HEAVEN.

The music to RENT touches me. There is something about it that reaches my soul and I totally get. I don't know if it is because it is a group of friends who go through huge trials and stick together or if it is that so much of what they discuss is Taboo but so much reality. I don't know...but it gets me.

It was truly one of the VERY best plays I have EVER been to. I was in awe of the performance and loved how they made it their own. Their was more music in the play then in the movie and I thought it just brought the whole story in even more.

I am ever so glad I had the opportunity to see this show. I am going to add to my bucket list to see RENT on Broadway...just so I can say I did.

Lou Turns 2, Father's Day, and A Leak!

Sunday was quite the day. We woke up early to get the house all ready for Lynnie Lou's 2nd birthday party. The weather was CRAZY so we knew we would be hosting indoors on this one. We got the house all clean and Grandpa Garry ordered this for the yard.

We still needed to get ready, so while Stac and Bri started decorating Dustin and I went upstairs to shower and get ready. While Dustin was in the shower Stacy comes RUNNING up the stairs, pounds on the door and informs us that there is water pouring out of our ceiling fan downstairs. AWESOME!!!

Well, I have had a lot on my plate the last couple weeks and this was just to much for me. So, my dear husband, on his Father's Day, got to go downstairs and see what was going on. Once my hair was curled, my make-up was on, and I was dressed...(basically there was NOTHING left for me to do but go look)....I went downstairs to find this.

Well, I may have had a bit of an emotional breakdown, and people may have thought I was being dramatic but it was just a lot for the time being. I recognize now it is what it is and in the big picture it's nothing. I was just not ready for holes in my ceiling and a leak.

After I pulled myself together we celebrated Lou's 2nd birthday. She is so fun and it was a pleasure having people at our home to celebrate.

Once the party was done, we headed to Mandy's for dinner. She had a very nice BBQ for all of us and we got to spend time celebrating the dad's.

It was quite the day and I was ready for bed. I just want to say how grateful I am for Dustin and all he does for our little family. There have been several events these past few weeks where my husband has taken a situation and been AMAZING in dealing with it and more so me. I love him and how much he can balance me out. I love you babe and Happy Daddy's Day!

Heather's Birthday Party

Friday night was Heather's birthday party. And it was time to celebrate her...

Most of my peeps were attending and I was excited to go see everyone. There has been some tension in the group the past couple months, and it was time to come together and put things aside. I think for the most part it worked.

I wanted Joc to do my make-up and hair so I was late. But it was so fun to have Joc dress me up. I wish I had the ability to do hair and make up like Joc does. She is AMAZING!!!

Mom, Gar, and Joc agreed to keep Peanut for the night, so I kissed his face and left him with the fam.

When I got there I had the opportunity to talk with my friends and make sure we were all on the same page. Which I really think we are. I am not sure why tension has arisen in the group, but we all felt it and all agreed it was so silly to be being weird. So...we gave a toast and moved along.

Happy Birthday gorgeous girl!

By the end of the night we were all back to us. We were laughing, telling stories, and catching up. I love my friends and am so grateful for each one of them.

Hanging With J

On Sunday Joc and I met Dad, Kel, Hailey, and Griffin for breakfast at the Original Pancake House. After we were done, Joc and I decided to head up to dad's to hang out a little more and just chat. We hung out there for a few hours, but I started feeling poorly and went back to my mom's.

The next couple days I was down and not very energetic. So, we kind of just hung out at mom's, went to La Frontera, and decided to put high lights in my hair. Joc has never done them before, but like everything else when it comes to beauty stuff, she did great!

On Tuesday Mom, Joc, and I decided to take the 3 babes to the zoo. I haven't been to the zoo since Carter was an infant, and this time was so much more fun. He loved to look at all the animals, ask questions, and make dinosaur noises. The T-Rex scared Coli and Carter but Lou took on the dinour like a champ. She is the brave one of the three.

And some more pics of our outting...

During her week here we also went to dinner with Sara, had a family bbq at dad's, shopping, shopping, and La Frontera. It was so fun having her home and I LOVED how much time the two of us got to spend together.
