Well We Survived Another "Final Day"

Today, was said to be, the "Last Day On Earth."

Yet I sit here at 10:30 at night with my boys and all is right. I debated on doing a "Last Supper Party" last night, just for fun, but after a few phone calls and where things currently stand with friends, it didn't happen.

Today for our "last day," we were all kinds of crazy. I did eight loads of laundry, hung pictures, cleaned a closet, did two loads of dishes, Dustin mowed and trimmed the lawn, and Carter played outside with bubbles. It was such a great day. I know it sounds like it was not, but I actually really enjoyed it.

The weather was finally beautiful, so I opened up the house to get some fresh air. I had my music going all day long, and I had a really good day. This is a different thing for me, because I am nowhere NEAR being a Becky Home Ecky. But to spend the day getting things done around the house and organizing was perfect.

Tonight we had an opportunity to go the Mastricola's or the Holt's yet once we got dressed and ready, we still didn't know which way to go. So...we got in the car, went and got drinks, pizza...and came home. It has been really nice to just have a weekend as a family catching up on some much needed "Team Adams Family" time.

Tomorrow my mom and sister come home and I am pretty excited. It seems like it has been forever since I have seen my family and Carter cannot WAIT to see Coli Kai and Baby sister. He has asked for them one million times today. I am ever so grateful to have another day here with my family and am so relieved I spent the day working on my to do list and not waiting for the end of the world. LOL If I would have done that, tomorrow would have been a REAL long day! ;-)

A Long 10 Days

Today our Litte Man is FINALLY back home. Carter has been with Granny and Papa for the last 10 days and though the first day or two was nice and lazy, I missed him more than words can say.

My brother in law graduated from Creighton University this past week, so my sister and her family have been on a vacation. Well, since my sister is my babysitter, we didn't have much choice but to send Carter to go spend some good time with Granny and Papa. His cousin Maddi was there with him the whole time, and they loved the attention and were definitely spoiled.

Dustin went up to Logan last weekend and spent a couple days with him so the break wouldn't be so long. Unfortunately, I didn't get to go due to me having to work. So, for the first time, I was home alone for three days...and I survived.

I was able to enjoy dinner with a friend, many chick-flicks, and I even took a midnight drive that led me to up above the Capital until 2:00 am. I must admit the drive was exactly what I needed. The weather was nice, the music was amazing, and the drive relaxed me. However, come Monday night I could not WAIT for Dustin to get home.

Tonight my Little Man is finally back home for the long haul. He came home Wednesday and then Dustin took him back to his mom yesterday. At dinner Wednesday night, Dustin spilled his drink. He had asked Carter to go upstairs and get a towel. When Carter came back down, Dustin began cleaning up. Carter then hopped down off his chair, walked over, spanked Dustin's bum, said, "Your bad!" Then preceded by singing the clean up song. Dustin and I laughed and laughed. I swear my Little Man grew so much over the time he was gone.

I am so grateful that we have such amazing family who are willing to help us in care for our baby. Carter loved being with Maddi, but now I think he cannot wait to see Baby and Coli Kai, who will be home on Sunday. He has been asking for them, and is excited to see them next week.

It is so good to have our baby home. Life just isn't anywhere near enough when he is not around. I have such a beautiful son and I am so in love with everything about him. Tonight he and I are home alone, until Dustin is off, and I am treasuring the moment. We are watching Spiderman, eating pizza, and dipping breadsticks.

Life just doesn't get much better than this.

Oldies...But Such Goodies

Last night I was going through some pictures and found these on my computer. I was in awe in a couple of things.

First off, look how little Carter used to be. I forget that my now 2 year old Little Man, was once just no bigger than a minute. This picture was on my 26th birthday, so Carter would have been about 7 weeks old.

This is the phase where I called him, E.T. His eyes were bigger than anything else. Though I thought he was a beautiful Little Man,I don't know how many did at this stage.

This is the stage where I think Carter started becoming the most beautiful Little Man I have ever seen!

And these were his 9 month pictures. He was such a ham and so much fun at this age. I loved watching him become a Little Boy more and more.

These were just a few of my favorites of my Little Man. He was such a beautiful baby and I am sure will continue to be as he becomes more and more a little boy. Mommy sure does love her baby.

Celebrating Coli Kai's 4th Birthday

On Sunday, our nephew, Colin Kai turned four! He had a SpiderMan party and there was nothing BUT SpiderMan!

We had all of the family over, and it was a lot of fun. Colin was spoiled rotten with new bedding, new clothes, swords and toys.

Becky made her Little Man, the most DELICIOUS SpiderMan cupcakes ever, and they were so enjoyed by everyone, ESPECIALLY the Little Ones.

The kids then just played, put on masks, and of course Coli opened his presents.

Coli had a great day, and we loved being a part of it! Happy Birthday Coli Bug!

Easter 2011

Easter Sunday was very nice. Carter awakened at 7:00 and needed his morning routine, which consists of milk and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse these days. So, while Carter began his morning, Dustin and I went to see what the Easter Bunny had left for the Little Man.

Once Carter came downstairs, he noticed the egg crate was empty. When we asked him where the eggs were, he said, "Swiper swiped them!" For those of you who know children shows, you will know Swiper is off of Dora, another one of Carter's favorite shows these days.

We then got Little Man dressed and ready to go on his first Easter Egg Hunt at our own house. It was SO fun! The Easter Bunny decided to hide the eggs outside, and Carter loved it. He grabbed his Elmo Basket and was on his way.

Carter then found his Easter Basket the Bunny had left, which was full of activities for the outdoors. He got a frisbee, bubbles, a football, a bug net, and golf clubs.

Once that was done we kind of unwound for a little bit. Around 11, we headed over to Mom and Garry's for a hunt there. Carter loved looking for "Nemo" eggs, and the toy car that was left for him there.

We came home, put Carter down for a nap, and got ready for the final celebration with Dustin's family. Everyone came to our house and we enjoyed a nice Easter dinner...I made funeral potatoes for the first time EVER...and spent time together. There was one more Easter Egg Hunt out front this time, and then the kids played outside with bubbles.

It was a great Easter, and we really enjoyed the time with everyone!
